Cute pair of glass penguin sculptures were purchased from a local glass blower artisan (whom has since passed away) back in the late 1990's. They are brand new vintage, as this item is a part of our old stock and was never used. You will receive a random selection of penguin pair on ghost gum base, they are all similar in looks and size. Each one is individual - yours is unique!
The penguins are glued onto a lovely piece of Australian ghost gum branch which was cut, sanded then hand brushed with a polyurethane coating to accentuate the grains and natural colour of the timber, giving it a nice finish.
* Large penguin approx: 50mm high x 35mm wide x 25mm thick small penguin: 40mm high x 33mm wide x 25mm thick
* Ghost gum base approx: 70.3mm x 70mm x 6mm thick
(Conversion: 2.5cm = 25mm = approx 1" inch)

The common name ghost gum refers to several similar tree species, all of them native to Australia. The various ghost gum species are all large trees with light-coloured bark and evergreen foliage.
Ghost gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora) has other common names in Australia, including cabbage gum and weeping gum, but it's one of several species called ghost gum.
